“Today, Council Member Thune announced that the previously proposed plan for parking meters along Grand Avenue will not be going forward. I think this is the best outcome and a testament to the efforts of the residents and businesses who stood up to be heard. I was also glad to hear Council Member Thune acknowledge that the original process was flawed.
If elected next week, I look forward to leading discussions on issues like this in a truly collaborative manner. I am committed to bringing together representatives from the neighborhood, businesses, city staff, and other stakeholders to take a comprehensive look at a wide variety of matters so we can make Grand Avenue an even more attractive destination in Saint Paul.”
